2008
Professor Upali S. Amarasinghe of the Department of Zoology
was presented the CVCD Excellence Award for the Most Outstanding
researcher in Biological Sciences jointly with Prof. IAUN Gunatilleke
at the CVCD Excellence Awards ceremony held on 11th December 2008
at the BMICH.

• SLAAS Awards 2008
SLAAS awarded the Physical Sciences Award 2008 (PHYSICS)
to Miss R. A. C. R. Rupasinghe at the 64th Annual
Sessions of SLAAS held on 1st December 2008 at the BMICH for her final
year research project submitted to the B.Sc. (Special) Degree in Mathematical
Physics - 2006/2007 of the University of Kelaniya.
