This course relates to the role of HRs in achieving organizational
objectives and provides concepts and practices that expose the students to situational
awareness on HR management.
On successful completion of this course, students will be able to understand
the theoretical aspects of HRM functions and apply HR management techniques
of staffing, evaluation, and training and development in less complex situations
>< Course Content:
Role of HR in organizational achievements.
HR planning, recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation,
and appraisal of employees. Development of HR, welfare functions, wage structures,
incentive schemes, job description, job evaluation, interview techniques, and
basic industrial relations.
>< Methodology:
The course will be delivered in a combination of lectures,
interactive classroom sessions, case analysis, and projects.
>< Scheme of Evaluation:
End-of-semester examination and case analysis and presentations.
