>< Teaching and learning objectives:
This course aims to provide concepts and skills in strategic
management and strategic planning in a dynamic and volatile organizational setting
On successful completion of this course, students will be able to create/design
Vision and Mission statements, goals and objectives, and prepare a strategic
plan for a SBU.
>< Course Content:
Components of strategic planning
including vision and mission statements, analysis of the organisation through
SWOT, Environmental Scanning through analysis of PEST Factors, formulation of
objectives, strategy selection and development of the action plan are some of
the areas covered.
>< Methodology:
The course will be delivered in a combination of lectures
and case analysis.
>< Scheme of Evaluation:
End-of-semester examination and continuous evaluation.
