>< Teaching and learning objectives:
The aim of this course is to provide an understanding
of how cultures influence behaviour and processes in organizations, and how
the underlying heterogeneity of a cross-cultural management situation can be
synergistically handled
On successful completion of this course, students will appreciate the increasing
instances of cross-cultural situations due to rapid globalization and acquire
skills in managing heterogeneity of cultures for sustained productivity.
>< Course Content:
Man and culture, culture and work
place values, harmonizing values and organizational growth, cultural dimensions
in management, changing environment of management, the changing organizational
culture and the cross cultural leadership techniques.
>< Methodology:
The course will be delivered in a combination of lectures
and case discussions.
>< Scheme of Evaluation:
The performance will be assessed in a combination of interactive
classroom sessions, case analysis, group works, projects and final written examination.
