>< Course title : Research Project - Dissertation
>< Objective: By the end of this course, the student will be able to demonstrate competence in planning and carrying out a research project on a prescribed topic and also in presenting the research in the form of a dissertation.
>< Course content:

Research related to major subdisciplines of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology curriculum.

>< Methodology: A short-term research project is assigned to each student under the supervision of a senior academic staff member at the beginning of the fourth academic year. Before commencement of the research work, research plan and methodology of the project should be presented at a seminar. A dissertation should be submitted before the end of the academic year. Presentation of the research findings at a seminar will be evaluated by a board of examiners.
>< Scheme of evaluation: 80% dissertation 20% oral presentation.
